How we Work

We hope you find the following very helpful as you plan your event!   It is just a bit of information to show you how we work everyday.


Make an Appointment or Contact Us Online
This is one-on-one so that we can help you decide on an invitation style and colors that are all your own.  If you are not from the area, don't fear.  We are able to work over the phone and email just as easily.  There are many ideas to choose from or we can come up with something else you had in mind!  There is no charge for appointments.  If you are local in many cases I can come to you, you can visit me or we can meet in a more neutral location such as a Starbucks.  After our initial conversation, and we have an idea on what you are looking for we will provide you with a custom price quote.  If this quote is acceptable we will proceed with the design process.  This requires payment of a $100.00 dollar design fee which is non-refundable if you choose not to place an order.  Although, it is credited toward your order.  We do this because the design process can take many hours, even days.


Pricing
Pricing is determined by a number of things: quantity, the type of paper used, additional items ordered, type of printing, design elements, embellishments, etc.  We work with budgets of all sizes and strive to create something unique for your special day!!  Our pricing tends to range from $3.00-$10.00+ per set.  Set = Invitation, invite envelope, rsvp card, rsvp envelope and a second insert card.  No matter what your budget is, do not hesitate to contact us for a quote, we will see what we can do!

 

Customization
With DG Invites you are able to create something completely one of a kind for your event or you can choose an invite we have made in the past and make it your own.  You have the ability to customize fonts, wording, ink colors, paper colors, types of embellishments, layers, pockets, bellybands and so much more!

 
Printing
We offer digital, offset, thermography (raised) and soon to be letterpress printing, in any color you choose.  We can also print your envelopes ~ return address, rsvp address, guest addresses. We do so in a font to match your invitations or a more calligraphy style font.

 


Place Your Order
Make sure you know exactly how many of each item you will need.   You can order any item in any quantity and there is no minimum purchase.   If you decide to order more at a later date pricing may vary.  In a rush? Many orders can be completed in a week or less for a $50.00-$200.00 rush fee.  The design fee will start the proofing process. Once we have come to a finalized invitation a 50% deposit is due and a contract is signed.  If you choose to cancel before anything is ordered or printed a refund will be given minus the design deposit.   If you cancel after items are ordered/printed refund is awarded minus cost of.  You are welcome to stop by to see items before you place an order or request a sample.  Final payment MUST be made prior to delivery or shipping of any items.

 
Want a Sample? No Problem
We can usually get a sample out in about a week.  Depending on the papers chosen only some will come in the colors you chose.   Please note that most papers are ordered in bulk.  We may not have your paper in stock so we will send a mockup, not in  your colors but with little swatches of the colors you choose. Or it will be done in very similar colors.  If items are on backorder or we need to order a specialty product, your sample may be delayed.  When it is ready we will mail the sample to you, come to visit or have you stop by.  Because everything is handmade, there may be slight variations between them, but none that will degrade the integrity of the item.  If you choose to make minor changes,  you may do so at this time.  Only a second sample will be made, if requested.  Sample charge is $5.00 per sample.   Max of 2 samples are included  with your order,  cost will be deducted from total order placed.  Any additional samples after 2 are charged per each.  You may not make changes once an item has been approved. **Unless we have not started printing**


Payments
We currently accept checks made payable to: DG Invites.  We also accept cash and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal) via PayPal.  Full payment must be received before the finished product is shipped out.


Sit Back & Relax
Your items will be ready, fully assembled in 2-3 weeks. Large orders may take some more time.  Please allow at least 4-8 weeks prior to assembly for design time.  Design time can take as little as a couple days or several weeks.  We reserve the right to make an extra of each item purchased for our use as promotional material.  Full payment is due before you receive your items,  either by dropoff,  pickup or mail.  We are flexible and can setup a payment plan if need be.  But please remember we will not release or mail your items until full payment is received.  We can hang on to completed items and mail them when you wish.  Shipping is not included, it will be determined once items are complete and ready to be mailed.  We can also deliver orders locally, although if it is more than ten miles away there will be a $15 dollar delivery fee added to your order.  DG Invites is not responsible for any typos that are approved, lost/delayed/stolen mail, or any other issues caused by third parties.   Please choose to insure any shipped items!
